Bridget Dewees

 Bridget Dewees is an award-winning Quality Practitioner with more than 30 years of professional experience in Business, Finance, Organizational Development and Higher Education Administration. She is currently the Assistant Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and an adjunct professor at Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC. She is responsible for managing a comprehensive university-wide assessment program. Prior to joining Claflin, she was the Director of Quality and a Business Instructor at Trident Technical College in Charleston, SC where she was responsible for developing and implementing college-wide quality improvement initiatives. She also teaches Business and Quality courses to undergraduate students. Bridget served as a commissioner for the Accreditation Commission of Nursing for three years and as a 2020 peer evaluator for The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Bridget is an entrepreneur and community service advocate. She is a silent partner of Pinckney’s Tax Services, the family’s business. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and was a member of the Junior League of Charleston for several years. Bridget released her first inspirational book in 2012, “A 21st Century Lazarus Experience” and a workbook for faith-based organizations in 2015 “Creating a Culture of Excellence in the Church”. She and her husband James recently released “ICU God” the inspirational story of their journey to a heart transplant.

Bridget has a PhD in Management, from Walden University, a master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of SC. She is married to her best friend James and they have one son. They live in Summerville, SC.
